The Saturday before Spring Break, Matt took me on a secret date with some friends. As the night went on, I found out that we were going to a sing a long. He had asked me to wear a white shirt, black coat and jeans with dress shoes. I told him before we left the house that I felt like Sandy and he looked like Danny from Grease. My guess was correct, we sang a-long to Grease in an old Theater in Portland. What a night!!
On Wednesday, Matt really wanted to take the kids skiing. Bailey and Hayden were so excited about skiing that they stayed in their helmets, goggles and bibs the entire drive up to the mountain. Hayden even took a little nap before arriving at Ski Bowl. I went along to be with Bailey while Matt and the boys skied the more difficult runs. We didn't leave the mountain until 9:30pm. It was very fun!!

We then traveled to Seaside and stayed at our friends rental. The kids love going to the beach. Gannon went to Seaside when he was 3 weeks old. Now he is 9 months old and such a big boy. Bailey was loving him on the top bunk!

After we ate dinner on Thursday, we all bundled up and walked down to the beach. We watched the sun set. The kids loved touching the sand and running around.

On our trip to Seaside, Matt kept running into students.
They would always recognize his voice. When he saw these students, I took his picture to have the memory of seeing so many kids from school.
We rented an 8 man bike on Friday morning. The kids loved it. Gannon fell asleep. We let each child take a turn steering the bike. Madalyn will never drive a car, Carter put fear in us all, Hayden did not pay attention to the road, Bailey couldn't reach the peddles, and Paige needed constant supervision. Other than that, we had a very fun morning.

The wind was very strong. The beach was pretty though. The rocks were magnificent.
We only stayed out on the beach for 30 minutes because of the cold wind.

Matt and I took a much needed jog on the Promenade on Friday night. We had been eating junk food all week long and needed to purge our bodies of all the toxic food!!! Now we just need to drop the 5 lbs. that we gained.
The last thing that we did before leaving Seaside was taking the kids to an old time photo place and getting all dressed up for a family picture. Matt has wanted to do this for years. I couldn't swallow the price though. This time we decided to just bite the bullet and do it. It cost a whopping $100 just to get a picture done. Can you believe that? Matt was so excited that he took snapshots from our own camera of the picture.
