Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! Our first snow fall arrived in perfect time. School was canceled on Tuesday, so I took off and went to Eugene early. Matt joined us late on Wednesday night. We had a great time playing Ticket to Ride, football, eating great food, laughing, shopping, and sleeping. The kids love going to Grandma's house to be with their cousins. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope that all of you had a great week too!!

The kids were so excited because it snowed.
They could hardly fall asleep the night before.
There was constant chatter coming from the bedrooms early in the morning!
Madalyn made a pie with Grandma on Tuesday. She did an excellent job. Thanks for teaching her how to make a pie Mom.

Carter and Hayden played an intense game of football with their uncles, Rich and Jeff.

Paige and Isabella joined in on the fun outside too!

Isabella was very sweet with Gannon.

After 16 years of marriage, we have bought our 1st............

NEW COUCH. This weekend Matt & I bit the bullet and bought our first NEW couch. We have always had a used couch and finally it fell apart. We have been looking to buy for several months but we didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. Matt wanted a sectional, I wanted leather, and it had to be close to our home. We like to find good deals so we always look at a bargain outlet store close to our home. This couch arrived on Saturday morning at the outlet store & we saw it around 5, the store was closing at 6. We talked for a while and I negotiated with the sales clerk. You see the couch had a broken support beam underneath one of the cushions. Anyway, in the end we paid $400 and used our neighbors trailer to haul it home 10 minutes before the store closed. Matt fixed the support beam with our neighbor and now it sits beautifully in our living room. We are going to be buying an overstuffed chair to also go in our living room. Wish us the best of luck with that.

Here is the new chocolate brown sectional. This rug is our old rug that we pulled out from the garage. I would like to get a light cream colored oval rug to lighten the room. What do you all think?

The couch is even cuter with all of our children on it. This is just our little Gannon showing that he is a big boy and sitting up well! Madalyn is right close by to catch him if he falls.

Time Out for ME.

Last weekend, I was given a 2 day TIME OUT. It wasn't for bad behavior, but for good behavior!! I enjoyed listening to Hilary Weeks again, Kris Belchar, Ardeth Kapp, and more. One of my most favorite things of the weekend was spending time with family and seeing so many friends from over the last 24 years. I loved everyone that I saw and for the spiritual insight that I had. Thanks for inviting me Mom. Also, thank you for helping me with Gannon, Tricia, Mom and Ashlee. I did not bring my camera because Matt didn't feel comfortable with me taking it so I pulled these 2 pictures from Ash and Carrie. Thanks guys!!

Tricia, Me, Gannon, Mom, Ashlee and baby William tucked back in his carseat in the corner of the picture!

Carrie and I at the end of the conference on Saturday. I am so glad that Carrie was able to come home to Oregon and be with everyone.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2010

Another great year of costumes, candy and craziness!!! We spent an entire weekend of having fun with the kids and family. Happy Halloween everyone. Warning: There are tons of pictures.

FRIDAY NIGHT

Our ward had a Harvest party at the church. The kids were very excited and couldn't wait to see friends and play games. Of course they wanted candy to.
Our vampire, princess and dragon!

My storm trooper, knight, and dragon #2.

Mr. Incredible eating one of these yummy donuts. His jaws were so strong that he ripped the donut from the string!!

Princess Madalyn was in charge of manning the donut game with her fellow young women.

Paige's favorite game was being wrapped up like a mummy!

Vampire Bailey loved the cake walk.

SATURDAY

Gannon and William hanging out on the bed.
After our Harvest party we traveled down to Eugene to celebrate with grandparents/cousins.

Shall we?

Count Benjamin.

Pumpkin Will!

Skeleton Ty, Pumpkin William and Count Ben.

We went to Toys R Us and participated in a parade. Carter was a little shocked that I was taking him to a parade at the mature age of 10. I assured him that nobody in Eugene would recognize him.
"You know I am in 5th grade now Mom."

Let's celebrate with mummy wraps, finger nails, boogers on a stick, and witch's brew.

Bailey transformed from a vampire to a cat in one night. Nice kitty!!

Tyler, Paige and Ben walked around getting candy together. Something on that ground mesmerized them. I don't know what it was.

Scary witch Ash and little pumpkin William.

Trick or Treat?

Grandma and Grandpa handing out candy from the back of their caddy!

Elasta Mom will protect you all. Let me wrap my elastic arms around you all!!

Frankenstein arrived to escort his witch (beautiful witch of course).

Mr. Incredible saw this helpless little kitty stuck on the bumper of a car eating candy and decided to sit down by her and make sure all was well!

Grandma and our little dragon.
Thank heavens for Goodwill and great deals!

The little ones ready to go to bed.

Todo, I am not in Boring anymore.

The good witch and Dorthy.

SCARY!
Look closely at Hayden's eyes, I think that he is disoriented from battle.

Trick or Treating Saturday night at Emily's house.

MR. INCREDIBLE and ELASTA GIRL
No cape needed.
"Go ahead and jump on, I can handle it."

Mam, do you need your car moved? Let me take care of that!

Nothing like the old days.

"Did you say that your little kitty is under your car? Let me lift that for you."

Elasta Mom is tired and ready to recover from the fun activities from this weekend.

Dorthy wanted to pose with Mr. Incredible.

Time to eat all of that candy.

It wouldn't be like me to go to Eugene and not enjoy doing hair for the weekend. We turned Ashlee back into a brunette. Looks good!
