With my parents leaving on a 12 month mission on December 8th, we spent Thanksgiving together with the Morrison side of the family. My parents ward had a special party to say goodbye on Saturday night before Thanksgiving. They had their farewell talks on Sunday and then we had a special pancake dinner with mom and dad. We then went to Eugene to be with Grandma and Grandpa Newell. We ate Cal's doughnuts, played soccer and visited for hours! We came back home on Wednesday evening to get prepared for Thanksgiving dinner at Sean and Melissa's house. All of the Morrison kids except for Dan, Sandy, Megan and RJ were there. We had delicious food and played games. Friday night we had a special Christmas dinner and evening with Mom and Dad before they left on their mission. The teenagers helped me decorate the YW room at the church. They did an we excellent job! It was a special evening. Saturday was a special day for my nephew Austin. He received his endowments. We were all able to go and be with him for this special day.
When we got home, we went out to get our Christmas tree at Alber's Tree Farm. To finalize a great week, we came to Matt and Carda's to watch the Ducks play the civil war game.
