We went on an early morning hike to Ramona Falls. It was an 8 mile hike that was absolutely breathe taking. We loved the views and beauty that surrounded us. Matt had made the hike before so he was our fearless leader. The kids were troopers. We left Gannon home with Madalyn. Paige was with her cousins so it was just the 3 middle kids and my nephew Josh.

Beth turns 40
July 1st, I turned 40 years old. I decided that I really needed to do something challenging to start off my birthday. I told Matt that I wanted to run to our local gym, do a weight workout and then run back home. I never thought that I would be running on my 40th birthday, but I am! Matt and I are training for the Hood to Coast and I have been running for 2 months. Matt was a great sport about it and off we went at 6:30am.
When we got home, we picked raspberries with the kids and Matt made me an omelet for breakfast. We also drank a green smoothie! For lunch we went to Tricia's house and had taco salad and birthday cake. I love the cake at Market of Choice. Matt and I left the 3 younger kids and returned home to get ready for the St. Paul rodeo. Our friends (Sarah, Glenn, Mandy, Zac, Sean and Melissa) joined us on the drive over. My brother Matt and his wife Carda and my parents surprised us at the rodeo. It was the night of bull riding. I loved it!
When we returned home we prepared to leave to Madras to work on our rental property. The boys were with us and worked very hard.
We spent the 4th of July in Eugene with family. I love this country! We are so blessed to live in the U.S.A.
I can't believe that I am 40. I am trying things that I haven't done in years. I love to age.
