Camping

I took the kids camping this weekend near Tillamook Oregon. My brothers Dave and Matt met me their with their families. Matt and Carda organized the weekend and it was a lot of fun. My neice Alex and her husband Nash met us their too. I put some pictures that I took earlier in the summer in the beginning of this post because I forgot to blog them.

The hydrangea's in our front yard.

Gannon acting like a ballerina.

Time for a haircut.

Swimming at grandma's house.

All of the kids had special blankets as babies. One day I had them all hold up their blankets so that I could get a picture for future memories.

I took some senior pictures of my nephew Austin.

Right before we left, I grabbed Alex and Nash to have proof that we were all together!

Scout CAMP

Carter went to scout camp this last week. He had so much fun. Matt went up late on Wednesday to spend the remainder of the week with him. Carter ended up getting 5 merit badges. I am so proud of how well he did while gone from our home. We missed him very much!

Mirror Lake

Today Matt and I did what we do best.......made a spur of the moment decision to take a family hike. We ran to the store bought food, hurried home, woke up the kids, fed them and jumped in the car to drive up to Mirror Lake. The hike was 1.5 miles in. It was such a beautiful day. In the valley, the temperature reached 100 degrees but up at the mountain it was 10 degrees cooler. Madalyn was off at youth conference so she missed the fun hike, but we had a great day!

The kids excited in the car!

MIRROR LAKE

This rock slide that all of the sudden appears on the trail.
Very unique.

It was so beautiful at the lake.

The girls took off their shoes and got in the water.

I made it!

Carter was our fearless leader.

Time to go back home.
1.5 miles back down the mountain.

Carter is afraid of heights. He agreed to cross this log with the other kids on the way down. He was too scared to turn around and face the camera.
Poor guy.
