Pinewood Derby

This weekend, Hayden had his pinewood derby. He really wanted to make a lego car and so Matt helped him get everything all organized to make that happen.

Dad and son working on the car!

Hayden beginning to let the creative juices flow.

The Wilhoits surprised us and came to support Hayden.

Happy New Year

This year, we celebrated Christmas in Eugene! The kids major Christmas had come in November when we all went to Disneyland. We didn't want the kids to wake up sad because the gifts would be minimal, so we decided the best way to make Christmas to feel special was to go be with Grandma and Grandpa Newell. Jill flew in for the week and made Christmas even more special.

Getting ready to eat.

Heading off to go caroling.

The Nativity! Bailey was Joseph this year.

Paige was a shepherd.

Gannon was her sheep.

Hayden was an angel, sleeping on the job.

Carter was a wise man.

Madalyn's were a little large.

Mom bought the 3 of them Disneyland shirts.

Christmas morning!

Gannon loved his Mickey Mouse.

Bailey got a Harry Stiles doll.

Matt bought me a pearl ring and earrings.

Dad got a toilet seat from some of the children.

I surprised Matt and bought him a Bose. He has wanted one for 18 years.

Christmas dinner!
The Krebs and Wilhoits joined in the fun.

On the 26th, the 3 men cooked breakfast.

Matt and I celebrated our 18th Anniversary on the 27th.
We took an early morning walk to start the day.

We put 15 people in our Sequoia to go play soccer.
Can you say illegal?

We then played soccer with everyone.

We then headed to Reedsport to be with my side of the family.

We had a nice dinner at the church the first night.
