Rose Bowl in Pasadena California

Matt was able to get Rose Bowl tickets from a friend of a friend for $200 a piece. The game was Florida State vs. Oregon in the semi-final game. Sean and Melissa kindly let us travel with them on their pre-planned trip. We left the kids in Eugene with Mom and Dad. We left Eugene at 5:15pm and stopped in Grants Pass to stay with Dave and Christine. 7am the next morning, we played basketball at Dave's stake center. We then hit the road to Valencia, California to stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites. We arrived around 7pm that night and dropped off our bags and went out to eat at 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. We returned to our hotel to fall fast asleep. The next morning we left for the Rose Bowl at 9:30am. We arrived to a scene of cars all over the place and Duck fans. We took in the excitement in the air and walked all around. While we were eating lunch, Mr. Mariota walked by our car and Matt called out to him. He gave us a hang ten. The game started at 2pm and we had a great time. We arrived back at the hotel after we had eaten dinner at Cafe Rio. We all fell asleep again and got up at 7am to head for Eugene. The Ducks are playing in the championship game on January 12th.
