Spring Break 2012

This March we decided to head to California and spend time with Rich and Julie. We all looked forward to this exciting week. We had a great time. Everyday was full and fun! Before we left we had a lot of snow. The kids had no school and late starts. Carter was also blessed to go to the Portland Temple for the first time with Grandma and Grandpa Newell. We then headed south to be with family. It was a great week!

Handsome 12 year old.

The day we left, Matt and Carter dressed up as twins at school.

Visiting Dave and Christine in Grants Pass.

As we traveled, I bought a whole bunch of groceries so that we wouldn't have to stop and spend too much money. The kids did a great job passing food around and not complaining.

Preparing a cream cheese bagel.

This was a common activity for the kids! Playing games on the IPad.

Riding the zoo train.

Paige did not want to ride on the train. She wanted to ride on the Carousel.

Julie and Rich got us into the zoo with their passes.
It was a perfect little zoo. Not to big and not to small.

We all headed to San Francisco to take a trip out to Alcatraz.

Riding the Ferry over to the island.

Gannon stayed home with a babysitter while we spent the day in San Francisco.

Alcatraz.

I love this picture of Isabella, Paige and Bailey.

Carter's basketball season ends

Carter started his second basketball season in January. He did such a great job this year. He made so many improvements. This last Saturday was a jamboree. He played 4 games with his team. I love watching my kids play sports. We enjoyed cheering him on and seeing all of his growth. WAY to go Carter!!

Star Student of the WEEK.

Bailey was chosen as star student in her classroom this week. She has been waiting all year for this special privilege. She would come home often from school and say, I am not star student this week. Well, she came home yesterday and she is star student. Today, she was to bring something that was very special to her to school inside of a box. Then the children had to ask her questions to find out what the special thing was. From the beginning of the year, Bailey has been wanting to take Gannon as her special something. Today, I got Gannon all dressed and Paige and I took him to school. Bailey sat in the rocking chair and the children asked her questions. I stood in the hallway with Gannon and Paige. Then I entered the room and the kids said it is your brother. She was so excited. Gannon sat with her the whole time and loved it.

Bailey holding Gannon in front of her class.

Answering questions from everyone.

Gannon got thirsty during the experience and so Bailey's teacher gave him a drink of water.

So cute.
