Sledding by Mt. HOOD

For the past 3 years Matt and I have been going to Mt. Hood to go sledding with the kids on Presidents Day. My brother, sister, and Dad joined us with their families and we had a great time. We woke up to beautiful weather. The sun was shining and and the skies were blue! Matt had organized the kids snow gear the night before. We woke the kids up early in the morning and fed them biscuits, ham, eggs, and orange juice. They were so excited! My Dad had called the night before at 5pm and said that he was going to bring his dog Zip and join us on the mountain. We had a very fun day. Here is a blog full of many pictures of our day on Mt. Hood!!

When we arrived we began to unload all of the snow gear. Here is Madalyn waiting for Matt to give her the warm bibs.

This was Megan and R.J.'s first time joining us. We all lined up our cars right by each other and got dressed.

Hayden was fearless when he went down the hill. He loved every minute of this day.

Paige and Rachel didn't want to go down the mountain at all. They just stood with me at the top of the hill eating snow.

Matt brought two tables and set up a food with every one's help. We had chili dogs, brownies and hot chocolate. Oh so good!!

Carter and Jarom relaxing on lawn chairs.

Madalyn and Amanda on camping chairs.

Hayden and I drinking hot chocolate.

Our cars lined up taking an afternoon break from the sledding hill.

I grabbed our camera and started taking pictures of my sister Meg. She allowed me to go nuts and take a ton of pictures. This is only one of them. Thank you Megs!!

Sweet! I love how Paige was very opinionated today about how much she did NOT like sledding. She's so cute! I don't know how you do it all. I'm overwhelmed with the table set-up... overwhelmed and jealous! LOL!
